10AM to 5PM Wednesday through Saturday,

12PM to 5PM Sunday (Museum Only)

*** As of August 16, 2018, Special Collections at the H. Furlong Baldwin Library, Maryland Historical Society will be available by appointment only. Appointments can be requested Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and the second Saturday of the month, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The appointment request form can be found here. Special Collections includes manuscript collections, photograph collections, vertical files, maps, prints, broadsides, works on paper, architectural drawings, oral histories, sheet music, and ephemera.

The main reading room and general collection will remain available Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library will close for lunch on Saturdays, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

*On the first Thursday and second Sunday of every month, the MdHS offers FREE museum admission.

 The Maryland Historical Society occasionally uses photography and videography to capture our visitors enjoying our exhibitions, programs, and events.  Your visitation of the Museum and/or attendance at programs or events grants the Society permission to use images in which you appear in publications and media.
