Homeschool Program: Maryland at War

War has been an unfortunate constant throughout human history, and Maryland’s history is no different. We will be looking at Maryland’s role in many of America’s wars and the contributions and sacrifices made. Come learn more about the significant contributions of Maryland Patriots in the Revolutionary War, how the first blood of the Civil War was spilled on Baltimore streets, and the curious case of a German submarine in Baltimore’s harbor during World War I.

Homeschool Programs at the Maryland Historical Society are interactive experiences for ages 5 - 18. We will learn about Maryland's history using primary sources, hands-on activities, and crafts. Participants are grouped by age and activities are adjusted for the different age ranges.

Families are welcome to accompany registered students, with full access to our research library and museum, at no additional cost.
