I am a volunteer at the Library in the Museum at Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. In cataloguing a bundle of papers of the Smales family, one time Quakers and related by marriage to the Wakefield family I came accross the following reference in a document of 1769 - .... Robinson Wakefield and Ann his wife (which said Ann is the daughter only child and heir at law of Edward Fell late of Potapsco..... merchant deceased who died in the city of London .... Is this your Edward Fell? I had thought that I had read Potapsco incorrectly - thank goodness for the internet!
