		<description><![CDATA[I remember him from his Oriole days, and his role in George Mahoney, a former neighbor of my family, getting the nomination in 1966. The rest is history, with Ted Agnew, a former co-employee of my mother at Maryland Casualty, winning the election, becoming governor, then vice president, then a felon. So many other pols managed to avoid Agnew&#039;s (and Mandel&#039;s) disgrace of getting caught, although ultimately Mandel got off.]]></description>
