Young Defenders of the Maryland Historical Society
Putting the Social into Social Studies!
The Young Defenders are an energetic group of young professionals who are excited about Maryland’s culture: past, present and future. Through both informal and more formal social events, we celebrate where we came from and where we live.
Whether you’re new in town, have always had an interest in Maryland culture and history or just want to meet some fun, social young professionals, come join us at our next event and see for yourself why they sell out! Throughout the year plan to join us on historic bar crawls in your favorite Baltimore neighborhoods, enjoy summer happy hours at the museum or participate in any number of other active, history themed get-togethers at top Maryland sites.
Membership in the Maryland Historical Society is not necessary to attend Young Defender’s events BUT it is encouraged. Why join? Young Defenders who are active members enjoy discounted entry to ticketed social events along with all that MdHS membership has to offer! Members enjoy free access to our unique exhibits, discounts in the museum shop and on MdHS publications, and invitations to a wonderful array of programming.
Become a member! We'll stay in touch with the latest and greatest on what's going on at MdHS.
