Appliquéd Quilt, c. 1850

The quilter Elizabeth Lynch repeated the same pattern in each square - the cross-leaf design found on many Baltimore album quilts. The red and green colors and the sawtooth border put this in the album tradition; unlike most album pieces, Elizabeth lavished her work with extensive quilting.
