Painting Collection

Over 1,500 images of MdHS paintings dating from the 17th century to the present are accessible on Maryland ArtSource, a website developed to illuminate Maryland’s cultural heritage for anyone interested in Maryland art, artists, and cultural institutions. By browsing the MdHS’s paintings by date, viewing collection highlights or searching by subject, title, artist or date, visitors to the MdHS painting collection will be able to experience aspects of Maryland’s history through portraits, landscapes and views of everyday life.
