How to Find Sheet Music
The library has an extensive sheet music collection, partially cataloged.
The cataloged collections include:
1. General Sheet Music
Much of the sheet music is indexed by the Sheet Music Card Index, found at the end of the Subject File in the Vertical File Room. This indexes the music by composer, title, and publisher.
2. The Eubie Blake Collection
This includes the jazz legend’s original manuscript sheet music. A complete list is available in the finding aid to the Eubie Blake Collection. Some copies are available online at Shuffle Along: The Eubie Blake Collection.
3. The Star-Spangled Banner Sheet Music Collection
This includes many versions of the national anthem. A digital version of part of this collection is available online at the Star-Spangled Banner Sheet Music Collection.
