Image Reproduction
The Imaging Reproduction Department provides individuals an opportunity to obtain an image of just about any item in the vast MdHS collection. This can range from vintage photographs and documents in the Library’s Special Collection Division to fine art paintings, object art and works on paper located in the Museum collection.
To order a reproduction of a photograph you know exists in the MdHS Library Special Collections Division, first confirm the photograph’s reference number and title.
Look on the MdHS web site and locate the photograph’s reference number and title.
To order a reproduction of a photograph not found on the MdHS web site, please contact the Library Special Collections Division at special_collections@mdhs.org. If substantial research is required, a research fee of $40/hour for members and $50/hour for non-members will usually apply.
If you would like to order a photograph of an object (painting, drawing, silver, ceramics, etc.) from the MdHS collections, please contact the registrar’s department at registrar@mdhs.org to determine the object’s accession number and title.
Please note that it may take up to six weeks to have an object from the museum’s collection photographed.
Once you have determined that the MdHS owns an image of which you would like to order a copy, or there is an object in the MdHS collection you would like to have photographed, please contact the Imaging Services Department to obtain an order form.
