    political career of Louis McLane and the naval and financial careers of

    McCLEERY ACCOUNT BOOK, MS.1642
    Account book showing work done for, supplies provided for, and money
    owed by various clients to Henry McCleery, 1815. Miscellaneous notations
    concerning legal matters (bonds, etc.), pertaining to Andrew McCleery,
    c. 1805-1815. Drawings of buildings, plans for an exchange, etc., made by
    Robert McCleery, architect, early 19th century. The McCleery family
    apparently both supplied building materials and undertook some construc-
    tion work and designing. The accounts and notations are in various hands
    and the identification of these is tentative. The variant spelling 'McCleary"
    also occurs.

    McCULLOH FAMILY PAPERS, MS. 2110
    Correspondence related to John McCulloh's (I 747-1800) Philadelphia-
    based importation business: importation of mahogany, rum, silk, china-
    ware, cotton, indigo, tea, rugs, and tobacco in the Mid-Atlantic region-
    mostly in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Richmond, and New York; letters from
    Europe, England, and India; mercantile firm of Knox, Usher, and Mc-
    Culloh, located in Baltimore, is a principal correspondent in the 1780s;
    numerous references to medical training of Samuel McCulloh (1772-
    1848). Other papers: letters from George B. McCulloh on his service in the
    United States Navy in the early 1820s, information of westward migration
    with letters from Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky, mostly from the Todd
    family; and comments on religion, slavery, and politics; some papers on
    land owned in Pennsylvania.
