Many of these papers were collected by George W. Archer from various

as source material for a projected book on the county. Many papers
and
notes of Archer; his extracts from Maryland history textbooks, from
the

addition there are Archer's personal papers-medical, family, military

business, many of these having been annotated by Archer for reference
and
clarity. More specifically the collection consists of the following

volumes of Swansbury Mills accounts cover every aspect of the running
of
this concern and the store attached to the mill (run by Gillespie [William]

cerning sale and freight of flour and meal, accounts for food, cloth,
clothing,
china, etc., sold in the store with entries showing credit of various
