and his cousin Donald McIlvain (1801-84) of Liverpool, England, 1824-
35: United States politics, specifically the Jackson and Van Buren admin-
istrations, the tariff, internal improvements, and the United States Bank;
mentions Campbell's thoughts on marriage, social life, the growth of
Baltimore, and the study of law.

and daybooks have similar entries, including number of horses and buggies
rented, net amount of work performed daily, etc. Included is account book
of Reinhard Schaefer, employee of the stables, 1882-1891. Record book of
ground rents due on houses in Saratoga Street and Columbia and Myrtle
Avenues.
