Ages 5-8
In Olden Times and Toys – A look at children’s lives and experiences long ago through hands on exploration of work activities, play time and family life - with a special emphasis on our new Toy Exhibition. Students will also create a take-home craft.
Ages 9-12 Local Lore – Learn some important Maryland stories and examine maps from long ago to see how our state has changed in 300 years. Students will cover topic from the founding of Maryland to Baltimore’s painted screens. Students will learn how to create their own painted screens – a folk art created in Baltimore.
Ages 12-16
Immigration – Learn about 20th century immigration stories. Read first hand accounts and explore objects in our collections celebrating our immigrant past. Students will learn how to create their own painted screens - a folk art created in Baltimore.
Registration is $5/person for adults and students age 5-16. Registration includes admission to the museum for the rest of the day & 10% discount on Museum Shop purchases.
