Internships
In addition to gaining valuable hands-on professional experience,
other benefits offered to MdHS interns include the chance to take
part in lunch-time seminars with museum staff, invitations to museum
programming and openings and a discount in the Museum Shop. While
the MdHS is unable to provide interns with monetary compensation
for their services, the institution is happy to help meet any requirements
necessary for interns to receive academic credit for their time
here.
Internships
are open to undergraduate and graduate college students as well
as individuals not affiliated with a university but who maintain
a strong interest in history, art, museum studies or non-profit
administration.
Below
are descriptions of just some of the many capacities in which interns
serve the Maryland Historical Society.
Placement is determined based on the intern's interests, skills,
and experiences as well as the institution's needs.
If there is a role that you would like to play as an intern at the
MdHS and it is not included in the list of descriptions below, please
