Photoduplication Services:

The staff will make photocopies for patrons who are unable to visit the Library in person. 

MAKING REQUESTS

Photocopy requests should include an exact citation for the material to be photocopied; you may e-mail us at if you are unsure if we have what you want copied or have other questions relating to your photocopy request.

FEES

Fees are payable in advance. We accept checks, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard), or money orders. The service charges listed below include shipping charges for requests of up to 100 copies shipped to a US address; additional shipping charges may apply for orders exceeding 100 copies or for shipment to non-US addresses.

For copies from non-rare books, journals, and other items from the Rhodes Local and Family History Reading Room:

$10 service charge, plus 25 cents per page

For copies from microfilm or microfiche:

$10 service charge, plus 75 cents per page

For copies from manuscripts or other suitable material from the McIlvain Special Collections Reading Room:

1-20 copies, $20 service charge and no additional charges.

21-50 copies, $20 service charge, plus 50 cents per page for any copies after the first 20.

More than 50 copies, $35 (the fee for the first 50 copies), plus $1.00 per page for any copies after the first 50.  Additional shipping charges may apply.

Please be aware that not all materials in Special Collections are eligible for photocopying. Only materials which can be photocopied without damage--typically, stable unbound documents not larger than 11" x 17"--are eligible. If you are unsure if the materials you want photocopied are eligible, please e-mail us at special_collections@mdhs.org. If the material you want turns out not to be eligible for photocopying, we will inform you and refund your money. 

Also, please be aware that we cannot photocopy entire collections.
