National History Day Project Suggestions

Students doing NHD projects are welcome to work through the MdHS Student Research Center for History (SRCH).  Students are not required to work through SRCH but are strongly encouraged to do so.

National History Day 2006-2007 : Triumph and Tragedy

Below are some ideas for NHD projects using the collections of the H. Furlong Baldwin Library of the Maryland Historical Society.  Keep in mind that there may be other collections at MdHS which also could support these topics, and there are many other possible topics as well.  We also have plentiful newspaper collections through 1900, and our photograph, print, and ephemera collections are excellent sources for images for documentaries and exhibits.
