If you would like to order a reproduction of a photograph from
the MdHS Library Special Collections Division and you know that the
photo exists, you must first confirm the photograph's reference
number and title before ordering a copy.
If
you would like a reproduction of a photograph, but you cannot find
the photograph on the MdHS website, research must be done.
- Contact
the Library Special Collections Division at (410) 685-3750, ext.
328.
- If
the Library Special Collections Division determines that the photo
exists, they may be able to e-mail or fax you a copy of the image
for your confirmation prior to your placing an order.
- If you cannot visit the library to research the photograph, a library staff member will perform the research for a fee of $40 per hour/members and $50/hour for non-members. Contact the Library Special Collections Division at (410) 685-3750, ext. 328.
If
you would like to order a photo of an object (painting, drawing,
silver, ceramics, etc.) from the MdHS collection, contact registrar's
department at (410) 685-3750, ext. 313 and determine the object's
accession number and title.
- To
view the object, you must set up an appointment with the registrar's
department at (410) 685-3750, ext. 314.
- Please
note that these procedures necessarily take time. It may take
up to six weeks to have an object from the Museum's collection
photographed.
- If
the MdHS already has a photograph of the object you have requested,
it still may take up to three weeks to process a copy.

you have determined that the MdHS owns an image of which you
