Workshops and activities for students of all ages.

Celebrate African American History with MdHS!
Ages 5-9: Take a museum tour that will introduce you to African Americans’ triumph through adversity on our African Americans in Maryland museum tour, then create a found art activity in the style of a local artist.
Ages 10-13: Read The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle before the program and join us for a journey through the life of the book’s heroine on our World of Charlotte Doyle tour. Or, learn about famous and lesser known figures in African American history on our African Americans in Maryland tour. End the day with a craft related to your tour. Please note your tour preference on your reservation form.
Ages 14+: Participate in a Student Research Center program on the civil rights movement in Maryland and create a protest banner.

Colonial Maryland
Join the talented students from the Baltimore School for the Arts as they portray life in the
Revolution in original skits. The day will include a short museum tour on Maryland in the
Revolution and the performance will end with an opportunity to discuss research, costume and prop development, and performance with actors and production students.
Registration is $5/person for adults and students age 5-16. Registration includes admission to the museum for the rest of the day & 10% discount on Museum Shop purchases.
