Traveling Trunks
Large trunks filled with reproduction primary source artifacts and documents that travel to your classroom for a three-week rental. Also include lessons plans, activity suggestions, worksheets, and audiovisuals. Cost varies by trunk and includes return shipping*.

Scholarship Programs: MdHS has two scholarship programs supporting traveling trunk rentals for the 2012-2013 school year. These programs will pay for a trunk rental including shipping costs to your school. One trunk per school.
Delaplaine Foundation: The Delaplaine Foundation supports trunks sent to Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett counties
Concordia Foundation: The Concordia Foundation supports trunks sent to Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Talbot, Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, and Worcester counties.

*Please note: The cost for teachers interested in picking up and dropping off trunks by hand at the museum is $40/trunk. Call the Maryland Historical Society to reserve your trunk.
