Full-length portrait shows George Washington (1732-1799) standing with left hand on reins of white horse's back, wearing blue jacket with yellow trim, yellow waistcoat and breeches. Image shows jetty and sailing vessels at left, and smoke is visible, as well as a dark brown sky which is lighter at left. Oil on canvas by Jane Stuart, after Gilbert Stuart.
