Scene shows harbor. On shore appear a building identified as "Fardy & Auld's Shipbuilders", docked ships, and numerous workers. Federal Hill with observatory and flagpoles appears behind shore. Buildings are seen behind hill at left, and a blue sky with clouds is seen. Oil on canvas attributed to William Hare.

Iron Works Corporation Agreement, 1731. Dr. Charles Carroll formed the Baltimore Company Iron Works on 1800 acres to the west of Mount Clare, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Carroll formed the company in partnership with Benjamin Tasker, Daniel Dulany, Daniel Carroll of Duddington and Charles Carroll.
