Business Unusual Art Lesson

The following “Business Unusual” account is part of our new initiative, Collecting in Quarantine. With current mandates for all non-essential businesses to close, business is anything but usual in Maryland. In the Business Unusual series, MdHS is asking business employees, owners, customers, passers-by and neighborhood residents to visually share their experiences during the COVID-19 crisis.

Sunday, May 25, 2020 – On this day, Bill Tata from Baltimore shared the photo below along with the following dispatch:

My wife Kimberly King, MICA Alumni (in the background) held a small Social Distancing Art Lesson at our backyard in Baltimore, on May 24, 2020. Our neighbors Ted and Nissio were her attentive students. Wear your mask, stay six feet apart and don’t touch your face. Art goes on, in this time of Covid 19. PS: Kimberly sewed several hundred face masks very early in the pandemic and donated all to local health professionals!
